What Right Below Actually Is
Right Below is built deliberately not to be big. That is the whole design: keep it small enough to stay cosy and intimate, so the night feels like one room you are part of rather than a crowd you have to get through. It sits on the calendar as Kink-Y x Right Below, and the name is meant literally — this happens underground, in one of the most iconic sex-positive basement spaces in Berlin. The invitation ends on the line that says it best: a warm midweek gathering right below the city.
Where a big Berlin play party runs on scale, Right Below runs on the opposite instinct. Doors at 20:30, a capped guest list, and an evening built around an after-work rhythm.
The current edition is capped at sixty guests — but the number alone is not what does it. It works because the guest list is put together with real thought, so the mix genuinely connects, and because the space itself does half the work. There is a bar and dance floor to talk, drink and lose an hour in. There are several rooms given over to play. And there is the Vault — the room nobody photographs and everybody remembers, where what happens stays locked in and stays vivid long afterwards. The basement has play areas you would not get from a standard club floorplan — corners with their own character, built into a space that was never meant to be a club.

A stocked bar and small snacks throughout the evening. Nobody arrives at their best after a working day, and the bar is where most of the conversations begin.

Soft corners built for the slower half of a good night: sink in with your drink, let the music do the work, and fall into one of those long, unhurried conversations with whoever ends up beside you.
Nothing Here Is Required
The most common newcomer question is some version of this: if I come to a sex-positive party and do not want to have sex, is that a problem? No. It is not even unusual.
The invitation says it plainly — some may explore intimacy, some may lounge, some may simply enjoy the company and the setting. All three are the evening working as intended. Nothing is scheduled that you have to be ready for, and nothing on this page is a promise of what will happen to you.
Right Below is for adults only, and all genders and identities are welcome. Consent here is the ordinary kind: you ask, you accept the answer, and a no costs nothing and needs no explanation. This is also where the size pays off most. A room of sixty is a room the organisers and the Kink-Y core group can actually hold — people who know each other, who look out for each other, and who are paying attention all evening. Plenty of friendly eyes, nothing lost in a crowd, and someone always close by if you want them.
Phones stay away. No photos, no video, anywhere downstairs. In a room this size everyone can see everyone, and that only feels good because nothing leaves it — so the camera stays in your bag, and it never points at anyone.

How the Evening Tends to Go
No two editions are identical and there is no programme to keep up with, but the shape of the night has been consistent across all three so far.
20:30 — Doors Open
Come early rather than fashionably late. The first hour is the easiest time to meet people: everyone is in the same mode, coat off, drink in hand, nobody has settled into a group yet.
The Warm-Up
Painting starts, the bar fills, the music stays low. Most first-timers spend this stretch talking and looking around, which is exactly what it is for.
The Room Opens Up
The play areas start being used. Some guests move that way, plenty do not, and both halves of the room stay busy.
03:00–04:00 — The Long Tail
Past editions have run to three and four in the morning. There is no closing ritual and no reason to stay to the end — leave whenever it feels right.
Who Comes, and What to Wear
The crowd is mixed the way Berlin crowds usually are: couples and singles, scene veterans and people at their second event ever, a broad spread of ages, genders and orientations. Because the room is small it leans towards people who already know somebody in it, which is why we always suggest starting at a Kink-Y Berlin munch if you are arriving cold. It is free, everyone keeps their clothes on, and you walk in here already knowing a few faces. It also weighs in your favour when we put the guest list together. People we have already met over a drink are the ones we can place with confidence, and they get approved noticeably more often.
We keep the ticket price as low as we possibly can, and that is a deliberate choice rather than a promotion. We are a community before we are a party, and a community that prices people out is not really open to everyone. Inclusivity has to mean money as well — nobody should miss a night like this because of what is in their account that week. The current edition is €15 per person, or €30 for a couple, which sits at the very accessible end of the Berlin play-party range.
The dress code is sexy, kinky and colourful. Fetish gear, lingerie, or one strong piece over something simple all work beautifully. Give yourself a reason to change after work — it is half the fun. Colour is worth leaning into, since body painting is part of the night — and anything that reacts under UV is an especially good call, because the space is full of black lights.
